Just before midnight, a sweeping cyan glow passed through the Outer Colony—moving slowly, silently, like a wave of light traveling across the buildings. It had no source. No origin point. It simply appeared at the colony’s western wall and drifted inward at walking pace.
As it approached, every device it passed—helmets, drones, wall panels, even offline machinery—powered on for a brief moment, displaying a single flickering image:
a map of the colony, marked with dozens of pulsing points beneath the surface.
When the glow reached the central plaza, it paused.
Every pulsing point synced to one location… directly beneath the Greenline Tower.
Residents nearby reported feeling a brief pressure in their chest, like the moment before a deep breath, before the wave passed through them and continued eastward. No one was harmed. No damage recorded.
But after the Cyan Wake disappeared beyond the ridge, the colony’s underground temperature sensors activated—despite no official request.
And they began sending one message over and over:
“Subsurface presence detected.”
Whatever has been signaling, pulsing, and testing the perimeter…
is now mapping the colony from the inside out.
