All equipment locked to 01:11; engineers unable to restore normal time functions.
Sector Twelve was supposed to be stable — a low-risk mining zone with predictable ice density and calm sonar readings. But today, every sensor in the sector went dark at the same instant… and came back online with the same identical message across their screens:
01:11
01:11
01:11
A repeating timecode.
A countdown?
A location marker?
Nobody knows.
The Syndicate dispatched a survey team to investigate. When they reached the sector, the ice floor was vibrating — gently at first, then in sharp pulses that resonated through metal, machinery, and bone. The vibration wasn’t random. It was a signal, rising from below.
Moments later, a blue shockwave rippled through the tunnel, knocking the entire team off their feet. Their visors recorded a brief apparition in the wave: the same red-cored silhouette from Ridge Zeta, now clearer, closer, and turning its head toward the camera as if acknowledging whoever was watching.
Then the shockwave collapsed inward and vanished.
When the team recovered their gear, they noticed the strangest part:
Every chronometer in the sector now showed
01:11
permanently — unaffected by resets, reboots, or power cycles.
Something beneath the ice is syncing time across the mines.
Not breaking it.
Not corrupting it.
Aligning it.
