Deep beneath the drilling platforms, beyond Layer Violet, Syndicate maps show nothing but solid ice for another four miles. No cavities. No tunnels. No anomalies.

But today, a Diver unit discovered a hollow chamber — a perfect sphere carved into the ice with impossible smoothness, like something melted its way through without leaving heat signatures. The moment the Diver stepped inside, its sensors flatlined.

Visual logs recovered later show a vast blue chamber lit from within by shifting light patterns flowing across the walls — slow, rhythmic, almost like breathing. Floating at the center was an object: a metallic orb the size of a human heart, pulsing with red light that matched the earlier skyward silhouette exactly.

When the Diver approached, the orb projected symbols into the air — not letters, not glyphs, but clockfaces, hundreds of them, spinning in synchronized motion. Each showed a different time.
Some in the past.
Some in the future.
Some… impossible.

And then, just before the Diver’s feed cut to static, a single phrase appeared across its visor:

“WE REMEMBER THE OCEAN BEFORE YOU.”

The Syndicate has no record of any structure — or intelligence — forming under Pluto’s ice before colonization.

Which means whatever built this chamber predates the mines…
predates the Syndicate…
and may even predate the planet’s freezing.
