The recovery crews followed the phantom signal deeper into the Cryo Rail Network, an automated rail line used to move heavy water tanks across the under-ice infrastructure. The rails were supposed to be dead silent — but tonight, they were humming.

Something rode the line before the team arrived.

As they reached Junction C-7, the lights along the corridor flickered, replaying their own glow patterns out of sync — a stuttering loop, like time inside the tunnel was repeating itself. The crew checked their clocks.
Every device showed a different time.

Then they found the second drone.

No damage. No breach.
But its internal chronometer was 213 hours ahead of real time.

Someone — or something — used the Cryo Rails as a gateway, slipping oxygen canisters through pockets of distorted time. The canisters weren’t just stolen…

They were moved out of sequence.

The Syndicate has enemies.

But none who can weaponize time.

Unless Pluto’s ocean is hiding more than water.
