Every cycle, just before the Dream Layer resets its luminance grid, the Holo-Sky descends — a shimmering canopy of algorithmic clouds that flicker through impossible colors. Beneath it, the world feels lighter, as if gravity temporarily loosens its grip on anything willing to dream.

Tonight, the Prismwalkers emerge.

They aren’t a faction. They aren’t a species. They are a phenomenon — constructs who only appear when the city’s emotional bandwidth becomes overloaded, manifesting as reflective beings coated in color-shifting armor. Their purpose is unknown, but every sighting is followed by a spike in neural resonance across multiple districts.

Two of them move along a glowing promenade, their silhouettes outlined by the neon pulse of distant towers. Their synchronized stride creates ripples across the glassy surface beneath their feet — memories echoing outward like soft distortions in reality.
Locals freeze when the Prismwalkers pass; everyone knows they never wander without intention. They are regarded as omens. Guides. Warnings. Or perhaps… envoys from deeper dreamstates not yet charted.

As the Holo-Sky brightens overhead, the Prismwalkers pause. Both turn toward an unseen point in the distance — a place where no corridor exists. A place the city has not rendered yet.
