Sector Kyron-8 is a place where the city’s color logic breaks. Every sign vibrates with hyper-spectrum hues, every reflection bends into something not quite possible, and every shadow glows instead of darkens. It’s here — in this ultraviolet choke point — that the Neon Twins operate.
They aren’t brothers, and they aren’t clones. They’re mirror-loop constructs, two cyborgs generated from the same corrupted security algorithm. Each one completes the other’s thoughts, movements, and impulses through a shared neural beam that flickers like a heartbeat between their helmets.
Tonight, the Twins are out of sync.
Their red visor pulses are jittering — skipping frames, fracturing into static shards — as if someone else is attempting to overwrite their shared memory. Citizens walking the stretch don’t notice; to them, it’s just another neon anomaly. But to the Twins, it’s the first sign of a breach in the Dream Layer they were created to guard.
