Each turbine feeds off the planet’s molten substructure, converting pressure waves into breathable air for the upper districts. But after decades of Post-Surge fluctuations, the turbines began producing something else as well: resonance fields—invisible zones where sound bends, perception warps, and machinery behaves as though responding to unseen commands.

Gatewalkers deployed to the Concourse in Cycle 271 reported strange synchronicities. Tools vibrated in perfect rhythm. Boots on metal grated in harmonic patterns. Even the haze drifting off the turbine crowns swayed like it was being choreographed. The environment felt aware—less like a mechanical plaza and more like a stage built for forces not yet revealed.
