No one remembers who built the broadcasting wall, or why each display cycles through faces of individuals who either vanished centuries ago… or haven’t been born yet. The locals believe the Vault “listens” more than it speaks, cataloging emotional resonance, mapping probability, and predicting societal fractures before they form.
When Gatewalkers first descended into the facility, they reported that the air felt electrically aware—like standing inside the mind of a sleeping titan. Their helmets picked up stray whispers, fragmented warnings, and faint pleas from timelines where Ion Prime did not survive. The Vault did not resist their presence; instead, it curated what they saw, choosing which memories to reveal and which to bury.
