By May, the Reef of Disbelief enters the Tideglass Drift, a tranquil season where the water becomes unusually clear, almost mirror-like. Light bends slower here, creating the illusion that time itself is stretching between pulses. Bioluminescent towers glow softer during this period, exchanging their intense neon bursts for slow rhythmic breathing — the entire reef seems to exhale in long, shimmering waves.
This is the month when Echo-root tendrils begin weaving glowing lattice patterns along the canyon floors, mapping unseen currents and tracing pathways no explorer has ever documented. Travelers passing through during the Tideglass Drift often describe hearing faint harmonic tones, as if the reef is quietly singing to itself.
