By the April cycle, the Reef of Disbelief enters the rare phase known as the Bloomwake Surge — a seasonal phenomenon where bioluminescent flora erupt in cascading waves of light across the canyon walls. Entire coral structures unfurl like glowing petals, releasing drifting spores that shimmer through the water like drifting constellations.
During Signal 6.3, the reef becomes more reactive, sensitive to movement, thought, and emotion — the neon ecosystems brighten when approached and dim when left undisturbed. Explorers who pass through during Bloomwake swear the architecture feels alive, almost aware… observing, remembering, reflecting. April captures the Reef at its most vibrant and most curious, a world fully awake.
