At first, it looked like static. Then Dirt Napp zoomed in.
Rats. Dozens. Maybe hundreds. Swarming the floors of the same ruined homes. Nesting in broken furniture, slipping through shattered vents. Most scattered when the flash went off.
But a few stayed. Their eyes didn’t blink. They glowed.
One frame caught a mass of them forming a shape on the floor. Something like a face. Maybe.
Dirt Napp doesn’t look at that one anymore.
