At first, it was just the red eyes.
Caught in the distance, between street signs and half-shut doors.
Then came the blur. Tall. Thin. Shoulders wrong. Face missing. Always in the background, one frame behind. And every time Dirt Napp turned to look — it wasn’t there. Just the cold, and the hum of something breathing through static.
